Boondi Raita

This raita is a perfect accompaniment to most dishes. Boondi are tiny fried gram flour balls. They are available in most grocery shops. They are salted and crisp.


Boondi 70gms approx.
Yogurt 400gms
Black salt To taste
Roasted cumin powder ½ tsp.
Fresh coriander leaves, chopped 2 tbsp.
Red chilli powder ½ tsp.

Preparation Method

Whisk yogurt till smooth.

Then soak boondi in water to soften and gentle squeeze out water in 10 mins.

Add salt, half the roasted cumin powder and half the chopped coriander leaves to the yogurt.

Add boondi and mix well. Adjust consistency with milk or water.

Garnish with the remaining roasted cumin powder, coriander leaves and red chilli powder and serve chilled.
